BRINGING IT ALL BACK HOME. Ian Clayton in conversation with C.P. LEE
April 25 @ 7:30 pm - 10:00 pm£10
THIS EVENT HAS BEEN REARRANGED FOR THURSDAY 25TH APRIL (original date was Wednesday 3rd April).
When world music magazine Songlines reviewed Ian Clayton’s book Bringing It All Back Home they declared the reading experience to be ‘The literary equivalent of a great evening in the pub.’ In the dozen years since publication, Bringing It All Back Home is now in its seventh edition and has fast established itself as a modern classic of music writing.
BRINGING IT ALL BACK HOME – THE EVENT
To make literal the Songlines review we will be curating a series of in-conversation events that reflect the ethos of the book, incorporating the key themes of home, story-telling, music, film, books, artefacts and mementos.
Ian Clayton will be hosting selected guests in the intimate theatre setting at the Tap & Barrel, Pontefract.
First to sit opposite Ian’s interviewer chair will be the rather wonderful CP LEE:
CP LEE is a writer, broadcaster, lecturer and performer who has written acclaimed books about Dylan and the Manchester music scene.
An accomplished musician, he was a member of Alberto y Lost Trios Paranoias. He presents documentaries for BBC tv & radio.
He once ate muffins with Andy Warhol and will be bringing along his ukulele. Please visit CP LEE’S website to find out more about Ian’s remarkable guest.
