THE CAT CLUB – CLASSIC VINYL ALBUM EVENTS

BIG thank you to producer and engineer, OWEN MORRIS, for presenting ‘Definitely Maybe,’ on Wednesday 20th June and ‘What’s The Story, Morning Glory,’ on the following Thursday.
The force of nature that is Owen Morris delighted two sold out audiences with his tales of the band and the recording of the two albums. Not bad for a man who said he would never talk about OASIS again.
And a special thanks to BAZ BRADLEY for interviewing Owen – not an easy task but one that he did magnificently.

And another BIG thank you to CHRIS McCLURE – the face on the iconic cover of the Arctic Monkey’s ‘Whatever People Say I Am, That’s What I’m Not,’ cover. Chris regaled with some wonderful tales about his friendship with the band and told us the true story of that legendary photo shoot for the album cover.
And a special thanks to ASH DUNCAN for conducting a world class performance in the interviewer’s chair.

THURSDAY 25TH JULY – THE STONE ROSES. SOLD OUT
A rearranged date from 18th July. Journalist, musician and broadcaster, JOHN ROBB with us to present the STONE ROSES debut album. T&B NEW WEBSITE – INTRO

When Dr Samuel Johnson, the great author, linguist and man of letters described “Happiness,” he wrote, “There is nothing which has yet been contrived by man, by which so much happiness is produced, as by a good tavern or inn.”

Here at The Tap and Barrel, we want you to find that happiness. We believe that the pub is truly the hub of community, a place to find friendship, conversation, music, warmth and, of course, fine ale.

We want to create an atmosphere for neighbours and visitors alike and promote the beauty of localism. Our drinks are little poems in a glass, our rooms are waiting for songs to be sung. It’s our story and your story and we can’t wait for them to meet.

This website will keep you up to date with all that is happening here – it’s a groovy little place to start, we’ll grant you that, but this is just a taste.

For the full flavour, you really do need to get out more!
