FAIRPORT CONVENTION – WHAT WE DID ON OUR HOLIDAYS
BIG thank you Clinton Heylin and Route publishing for this wonderful evening. Clinton read from his new book about the band: ‘

“What We Did Instead of Holidays: A History of Fairport Convention and Its Extended Folk-Rock Family”  – a comprehensive new biography of Fairport Convention and their many offshoots, telling the full story of English folk-rock in its golden era (1968-1982).

PRINCE & THE REVOLUTION – PURPLE RAIN

The result was the acclaimed publication ‘Minneapolis Reign.’

JOY DIVISION – UNKNOWN PLEASURES.
The album will be presented by former Fall drummer, PAUL HANLEY.
A veteran of the Manchester post-punk scene Paul witnessed the rise of Joy Division first hand. His first book, ‘Leave The Capital,’ was published by Route. It tells the story of Manchester’s first professional recording studios and the seminal records that were made there Including ‘Unknown Pleasures.’
He once scored 21 on Ken Bruce’s Popmaster.

An acclaimed poet, songwriter and performance artist. Heath worked as a music journalist at Melody Maker and The Guardian and wrote many reviews and features concerning The Jam. He has also recorded albums and toured extensively with Jam bassist Bruce Foxton.

STRANGER CHORUS – OFFICIAL NEW SINGLE LAUNCH AND LIVE PERFORMANCE.
Stranger Chorus have worked with Dave Sanderson of Revd & The Makers resulting in their debut single, ‘Midnight,’ and their latest single ‘Pray.’ Recently they have performed at Sheffield’s Tramline Festival and have been featured on the BBC.
The official launch of the new single PRAY will be followed by a live performance from James Addy and Luke Watson who are STRANGER CHORUS. The two began experimenting with new instruments and became drawn to new sounds – new wave synth pop with a little bit of disco.
