Following his accident, our very special guest, Who producer JON ASTLEY will now be joining us on THURSDAY 10TH JANUARY:
The legendary live album recorded (less than 20 miles from The CAT Club) at the University Refectory at Leeds on 14 February 1970 is presented in it’s all glory on the original vinyl pressing.
Critic Nick Cohn described the album as “the definitive hard-rock holocaust,” and that just about sums the collective of Pete Townsend, Roger Daltry, John Entwistle and Keith Moon.
Our very special guest presenter is JON ASTLEY who remastered the tapes and produced the de-luxe edition and has worked with The Who for many years supervising mastering all their back catalogue.

FAIRPORT CONVENTION – WHAT WE DID ON OUR HOLIDAYS
CLINTON HEYLIN, leading music historian will be with us to present FAIRPORT CONVENTION’S classic album WHAT WE DID ON OUR HOLIDAYS.
“What We Did Instead of Holidays: A History of Fairport Convention and Its Extended Folk-Rock Family” is Clinton’s latest book – a comprehensive new biography of Fairport Convention and their many offshoots, telling the full story of English folk-rock in its golden era (1968-1982).

Katie Spencer is a young woman from Hull. She is an artist. She is a fine talent and might be described as a progressive folk musician. She plays solo and with her band.
In February we’re lucky enough to have her presence at the Tap & Barrel. She be playing solo here as part of a her national tour.
