THE WHO ‘LIVE AT LEEDS. Thursday 25th October at 7.30pm. SOLD OUT
The legendary live album recorded (less than 20 miles from The CAT Club) at the University Refectory at Leeds on 14 February 1970 is presented in it’s all glory on the original vinyl pressing.

Critic Nick Cohn described the album as “the definitive hard-rock holocaust,” and that just about sums the collective of Pete Townsend, Roger Daltry, John Entwistle and Keith Moon.

Our very special guest presenter is JON ASTLEY who remastered the tapes and produced the de-luxe edition and has worked with The Who for many years supervising mastering all their back catalogue.

We here at The CAT Club are delighted to welcome one of the leading authorities on all things Led Zeppelin.
DAVE LEWIS founded the Zeppelin magazine, TIGHT BUT LOOSE, thirty nine years ago. Dave has seen it grow from a do it yourself hand-out to the globally respected feature that is a must for all fans of the band and their individual members. He’s also written critically acclaimed books including his latest tome EVENINGS WITH LED ZEPPELIN: The Complete Concert Chronicle 1968-1980 (written with Mike Tremaglio).

MARK HARRISON was last Sunday and gave a terrific performance. All original material and a master guitar player brought the house down.

IAIN MATTHEWS first gained attention as a founding member and vocalist for the innovative FAIRPORT CONVENTION.
He moved on to create MATTHEWS SOUTHERN COMFORT, exploring his interest in American music. They had a No 1 hit in the UK with Joni Mitchell’s ‘Woodstock’.
Never one to stand still for very long Iain moved on during the 1970’s with another group, PLAINSONG.
Between his own solo recording and various Plainsong line-ups Iain released ten albums to critical acclaim and scored another top ten US hit with the single ‘Shake It’.
Iain’s memoir Thro’ My Eyes, a story of music, journeys, life and what it does to us, through the eyes of one of our most enduring singer-songwriters is published by Route.
